Massage oil – confused with which type to use?

Baby llama has taken a great deal of care in choosing the perfect oil to represent our values and beliefs. What we put onto a baby’s skin is as important as the food they put into their mouths. The skin is a living, breathing organ, so any oils used in baby massage must be of the highest grade and recommended by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).sunflower-744232_640

We use organic cold pressed sunflower oil with vitamin E, a natural anti oxidant. The sunflower seeds are cold pressed to ensure a minimum loss of the natural properties found in oil. The pH of sunflower oil is the most exact match to a baby’s own sebum so it will not block the pores and the skin is able to function naturally. Vegetable oils are also perfect for sensitive skin, as they are high in linoleic acid, which is gentle to skin. Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid that helps to protect the barrier element of your baby’s skin. Baby llama recommends avoiding using oils that are scented, petroleum-based or contain nuts, as some oil might get into your baby’s mouth. Baby llama massage oil is edible, so if your baby puts their hands or feet into their mouth, you need not worry!
